Manual Lymph Drainage: Performed by a MLD certified therapist.

Manual Lymph Drainage is a gentle, non-invasive manual technique that has powerful effects on the body. The goal of MLD is to assist lymph flow and aid in drainage of tissues. Skin is gently stretched and torqued in a specific manner that is scientifically proven to to encourage lymph flow. When done correctly, by a certified therapist, MLD has profound effects on the body. MLD has shown to be beneficial for your immune system, the management of post traumatic and post surgical edema, as well as several pathologies such as fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, migraines, chronic pain reduction and others. Always be sure to be cleared by your doctor before receiving massage therapy or manual lymph drainage if you have recently undergone surgery, had an accident or are unsure if you can receive body work for various health reasons.
